About us
Bread deserves better than plastic.
Every week, home bakers spend hours perfecting their craft — proofing, scoring, baking — only to watch their loaf go stale in a plastic bag by day three. The crust goes soggy. The crumb dries out. And the bread they worked for ends up in the bin.
We started Loafresh because we believed there had to be a better way to store bread. Not plastic, which traps moisture and ruins the crust. Not cloth, which lets everything dry out. Something in between.
What we make
The Loafresh bag uses a semi-permeable beeswax barrier — natural beeswax, organic jojoba oil, tree resin, and cotton — to control moisture the way bread actually needs. It lets just enough out to keep the crust crisp, while holding enough in to keep the crumb soft.
A zipper and roll-top buckle seal it properly. No more wraps that never close. No more guessing.
What we believe
Honesty over hype. We don't claim our bag will keep bread fresh forever. Nothing can — staling is a natural process. What we do is slow it down, noticeably. We say "est. 5–7 days" because that's what bakers report, not because it sounds good on an ad.
No false claims. Every statement on our site is something we can back up. We'd rather undersell and have you surprised than overpromise and lose your trust.
Plastic-free, for real. No microplastics touching your food. No single-use waste piling up. One reusable bag replaces hundreds of plastic ones.
